Sinclair Trading, Inc. began as a sole proprietorship in 1991. After a few years of tremendous growth and obviously increasing demand, the proprietor, Lloyd Sinclair incorporated the business in 1996, and brought in his wife, Esperanza, to help manage the growing operations. Both Lloyd and his wife are from merchant families in Jamaica and the Philippines respectively. They combined their years of experience and knowledge of their products to grow the business into a bigger success.The Growing Years
Over the past decade, Sinclair Trading, Inc. has made incredible strides as one of the earliest pioneers of ethnic foods distribution. With quality products in hand from around the world, Lloyd utilized his over 40 years of experience in the hospitality and food and beverage industries to garner considerable sales success. The company went from selling primarily to small cash-n-carry customers, and developed a considerable portfolio of wholesale clients including large supermarkets and food service establishments.Present Day Success!
Today, Sinclair Trading, Inc. is the largest wholesaler of ethnic food items in the Western United States, and boasts a product mix of authentic foods from the Caribbean, Africa, Central and Latin America and the Pacific Islands. They supply some of the biggest supermarket chains including Safeway, Albertsons, Smart&Final and Kroger.
